Headlight upgrade
Does anyone have recommendations to upgrade the factory headlight without breaking the bank.
I have a 2008 V-Star 650

RE: Headlight upgrade
That all depends on the look you are going for. Are you looking to retain the stock headlight, and simply upgrade the bulbs, or are you looking for an entirely new bucket to toss on the front? There are too many options to try and list them all. If you can give us a hint as to what you are wanting, I'm certain we can get you going in the right direction. I have a "wave" or E.T. headlight on mine. I'm happy with it, but when I get the chance ( and money) I might try my hand a making a dual set up that incorporates the " devil's eye" around the headlight.

RE: Headlight upgrade
as Jhennly says what are you after, retaining the stock look you can go HID, but these can get pricey, or even replace the lens and reflector http://www.amazon.com/Adjure-T70100-Diam...B000GU0PG8
this fella on an other forum says they are great

I have wanted to get one of these for ages but there has always been something else more important

I have upgraded my bulb to "Narva blue plus 90" (I think it is actually made by Silvian" it is better than standard but the difference isn't great

RE: Headlight upgrade
First up welcome to the Crew, enjoy.

With your headlight upgrade "without breaking the bank" I went the same route as jmck. Only I fitted the Narva Blue +100 it gives far better distance and spread than the stock bulb and can also be "seen" better in the daylight by oncoming traffic.

RE: Headlight upgrade
That's the same one I have, only I painted it gloss black. Check around, keep an eye on Ebay, you can find it cheaper.
