This past week I have been packing and Friday while taking a break I decided to put the thing on. lol yea right! those damn little front turn signals that the last owner put on her are hidden by the mounting brackets. so back in the box it went until I get new front turn signals. my ex is an eBay addict so he spent the day looking around found me the light bar that I like and it's from someone local. so hopefully next weekend I will have the front light bar and windshield on.
Please post some pics when it is installed. I'm planning to get the MS windshield because it is thicker than the National Cycle.

Windshield for Road Star
Will do. I'm actually thinking I might throw it on this weekend just for a short test ride around the mountain since I haven't got the new front blinkers yet.

Windshield for Road Star
Woot Woot. got my passing lights and REAL front turn signals delivered yesterday. So I have cleared my schedule, which meant giving up a ride but I get to install lights and windshield today!!!!

I'll post pics once I get it done.

Windshield for Road Star
OMG what an adventure this was. got a late start (got side tracked making a jacket to put my PGR back patch on) It was 10am before I started pulling everything off the bike

by 1115 I discovered that I needed to add 1/4 inch between the holes on the light bar and that the brackets for the windshield had to be cut down 1/2" in width at the bottom and off the length at the bottom. (neither modification should affect the integrity of the bracket). so I had to put the headlight back on and take a nice short 20 mile ride to the ex's house for the proper tools.

once again took everything off made the modifications and success.

I do need to move camera about an inch higher. the cross bracket on windshield goes thru middle of the picture.

Next:
• rear turn signals to match front and the Backoff modulator/lights.
• pink lights for under the tank

Looks great @Kimsnot - I don't think you'll have any trouble at all installing a Back Off modulator... Wink

Windshield for Road Star
Thanks. I'm so happy I finally got the windshield on. I was dreading the colder weather that might never get here.

although I must say the wind was not as bad as it was on the 950. not sure if it's just how I sit on the Road Star vs the 950.

My guess, and it's only a guess, would be that the Road Star has a much wider front end - tank, forks, wheel, fender, headlight, etc. The Road Star is also a much heavier bike and I would think that would reduce the perception of buffeting, if not the actual buffeting.

After 8 weeks of mods my mate took her for a scond and third ride today to set the Fi2000mdulater for the big air kit, plus the swept cobras, he is 6'2"and at 160km is sweet as! im only 5'7 so it will be better again,I could gage he was amazed with the change up of bits!
