Gruesome Video: Viewer Discretion Advised!!
Probably the most graphic motorcycle accident aftermath video I've seen. Not for the faint of heart or squeemish. But a good reminder to ride responsiblity and wear your gear.

We all need to be reminded of the potential outcome of the activities in which we engage. They are not always good. This man is an inspiration for all of us on getting through adversities and provides a great lesson to all of us. Ride safe guys.
Never tell someone more than they are willing to hear.

We definitely to look at scenes like this from time to time in order to keep safety first when riding. Naturally it is the last thing we want to see but it serves as a very important tool in keeping us alert to the potential outcomes. We always need to be thankful for the safe miles we are able to ride.

RE: Gruesome Video: Viewer Discretion Advised!!
Being involved in the Rural Fire Service in NSW I have had the displeasure to attend my fair share of accidents - bikes, cars and trucks. There is nothing pretty about it at all, one of the duties I had when I was in the Military Police was to go around to the Military Bases and give road safety lectures. We did this prior to all of the big public holidays and prior to Christmas when a greater majority went on annual leave. We used actual footage taken by the Emergency Response Units and the civvy police, scenes of people trapped in and under vehicles - full colour AND sound! One of our tricks for the want of a better term was to hold these lectures just after lunch!!! The units we visited had personnel handing out Barf Bags along with the warning - "It's yours if you use it you keep it and take out with you!!" Quite a few used them too, amazing the number of Officers that had weak stomachs or maybe the Port was off in the Officers Mess after lunch!!!

We should NEVER assume that "I'll be alright!!" The other bloke doesn't know that!!

I am a believer in that anyone going for ANY licence, not just a motorcycle licence should be made to sit through a series of these videos and also taken to meet some of those who are in not so good shape after an accident!

I'll get off my soapbox now.

Thank you for posting this @Cambo

"Not for the faint of heart or squeamish."

Of COURSE I had to watch it.

What a tough character. The surgeon had a tough time too.
There is great need for a sarcasm font.

Whoa, that's pretty gruesome. While I agree this type of footage can be useful safety tool. When I am ridding these things are far from front of mind, it is kind of like surfing or swimming in the ocean, you don't want to be thinking about sharks
