the ones i got havent blown up yet

Here you are man!
Ok..
How is it working for you? Do you really feel a difference? Or is it all in your mind :)
So, did you install the Metric Magic ones?
I heard they recommend upgrading not only the cams but also the Coils and Ignition for a dyna-3000
Did you do that too?

RE: Cams Question
it makes a pretty significant difference. it felt about the same as the adding pods did. it made my exhaust louder too...

i didnt do the coils or the ignition. from what ive read withe the dyna you can move your limiter from 6800 or whatever stock it to 7000. although i can hit the limiter ultra fast now i can spend that 300$ or however much on other things.

in my opinion its not really needed. but then again im not sure lol. i did read that you may want to upgrade the clutch to the heavier one and i didnt do that either. i have no slippage on mine. even when i rip it

and yeah i got the metric magic ones

Cams Question
Thanks man...
Damn... Yes, clutch too :\
Out of my league to do everything... Between cams, clutch, coils, dyna & pots that's a $1K project... I'll have to evaluate if to do that wouldn't be the same as getting a bigger more powerful bike.

RE: Cams Question
yeah its a lot of freakin dough. i look at it now as a selling point.... LOL. kidding. Im trying to take my bike in the opposite direction from what it is now... for longer rides. i got the sissy bar, now i need a windshield and a rear fender. although the fender isnt a big deal id like to have the brake light in the factory spot.

i kick myself for bobing the factory one and not getting Cambos when he was still around

RE: Cams Question
id jump on that in a heart beat but i found out that the classic fender is wider than the custom's fender.

I found that out when i got that sissy bar. it was 1 inch wider .5 on both sides. it was easy cause i bent the supports flat.

i probably could make up some .5 spacers to fit and get longer bolts and then re bend out the sissy bar... hmmm. ill do some researching and let you know. how much would you want for it btw? you can PM me if you want

Man
Windshield..
I was just thinking that it might not fit your bike because mine is for a classic and u have a custom..
It should be same in terms of fittings but the headlight cut its much bigger.
There is a guy in the other forum that had a custom complete set up for cheap too.
But you let me know if you want to give it a try

RE: Cams Question
See I was hoping maybe just to get a part number of the kit. So then next year I could get it (maybe)

Hey Matt,
About pods... Are you using a catch bottle for your case breather?
I'm going to kill my Hypercharger and try the pods ... Mostly because I score a pair of the required Pods for only $20 on eBay :)

Also, how much louder did your pipes get?

Thank you

RE: Cams Question
for the breather i ran a tube out and along the downtube towards the ground. when i did the pods i did the exhaust too... so im not sure ya know? i know i could hear the intake sucking a bit louder but its not a negative.

but as for when i did the cams... eh... it maybe got 10% louder. but its all pretty much subjective. the first time i fired it up the exhaust was facing my closed garage door.

i did get some baffles though...

i got some packing to go around them and im hoping for a deeper tone. just to change it up i guess

Thanks for the pic...

I've been looking into things and I'm wondering if this would work.

It's a small water/oil filter for a air compressor
I saw something like that done with a larger version for a pick up truck.
This one is about 1.25" diameter and 3" long
