1100 front brake bleeding= mission
looking at everything this looks like something I can easily do on front but my ? is how difficult is it to change the rear brakelines? and if I take it on any tips I need to know?

I figure PlastiDip won't work on the brakelines however I see they have PINK lines. [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Fitting the lines front and back is the easy part. The pain in the ass part is the bleeding. I hate bleeding brakes.
To fit the rear you will need to remove the bottom exhaust pipe and muffler... maybe both mufflers. You need to do this to get to the rear master cylinder near the foot peg and to follow the route of the original line. There is a bottom chrome cover behind the exhaust also which you take off and then 2 bolts on the voltage regulator to hang that out of the way. Then you have all the access you need to remove and reroute.
I think i also loosen the 2 bolts holding the master cylinder for some reason... maybe to take the line off or something.

thanks. definitely sounds doable since I've taken the exhaust off before.

@Kimsnot bleeding the brake lines is not difficult but if you don't have a bleeder then it's pretty much a two-person job (or at least it's a lot easier that way). You and snot shouldn't have any trouble, though.

The job is easier and cleaner if you can beg, borrow, or steal a bleeder, though.

The main thing is don't ride it until you've got the brakes good and firm - any sponginess will tend to be amplified as the brake fluid heats up because the air bubbles in it expand - meaning there is more room for them to compress under pressure and thus more sponginess.

lol @oldephart I just saw here final grades for her college courses. like it or not she's going to be helping me with every dirty and boring job I can find for her. she better hope her high school grades look better then these did. otherwise digging leech lines at her grandparents house might be on her list of things to do over the winter break.

just as I hit the send button I get a text that she "mixed up her days" and missed completing a presentation that was due today.

I might be hitting dollar tree for that spatula on my way home [ANGRY FACE]

@Elk is that for brakes or to use on Snot? [WINKING FACE]

Are you talking about something like a Vacuum power bleeder hooked to an air hose? I was told by my ex that they are good for flushing line but to bleed air, manually is better.
